Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual who has a strong background in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, Cloud Security, and Site Reliability Engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and security on AWS for our mission-critical banking and payments platforms adhering to best practices for high availability, reliability, security, and performance.
What You’ll Get Exposure To:
- Banking Domain: Modern fintech platform experience in banking and transaction processing.
- Cloud Technologies: Hands-on experience primarily with AWS, including security services such as AWS Security Hub, CloudTrail, and GuardDuty, and other equivalents from GCP and Azure.
- Integration Platforms: Modern integration challenges to solve with Containerization, Microservices, Kafka, Distributed Computing, Data AI, MuleSoft/SF.
- DevSecOps: Embedded security within CI/CD pipelines and automating cloud infrastructure with modern tools.
- Vulnerability Management: Detection and response to security vulnerabilities.
- Security Compliance: Security processes with financial industry regulations such as PCI-DSS and SOC 2.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and other public clouds.
- Work with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications in the cloud environment.
- Optimize and automate deployment processes to enhance efficiency.
DevOps Practices:
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automating software delivery and deployment.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to promote a DevOps culture.
- Utilize Jenkins and similar AWS DevOps tools such as AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, and AWS CodeDeploy for streamlined application delivery.
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE):
- Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using tools like AWS CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, and ELK Stack.
- Conduct regular reliability assessments and implement improvements to ensure system resilience.
Cloud Infrastructure Engineering:
- Collaborate with the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure.
- Work on AWS resource provisioning, configuration, and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Implement and maintain networking components, including VPCs, subnets, VPNs, and transit gateways.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement security best practices in the cloud environment using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS Key Management Service (KMS), and AWS WAF.
- Leverage AWS Security Hub and AWS Config for continuous security monitoring and compliance checks.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Participate in VMDR (Vulnerability Management, Detection, and Response) processes to protect systems from cyber threats.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate security measures into various platforms, ensuring compliance with PCI DSS and SOC2.
- Collaborate with industry security experts and perform hands-on activities in security audits, incident response, and cloud-based security architecture design.
Network and Infrastructure Tools:
- Configure and manage networking components using AWS VPC, Site-to-site VPN, Transit Gateway, and NAT including subnet design and security configurations.
- Implement secure communication through VPN connections and manage AWS Transit Gateway for scalable and efficient network architecture.
- Provision and maintain network resources such as Elastic Load Balancing for optimized application delivery.
Collaboration and Documentation:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical expertise.
- Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS and other public clouds.
- Strong expertise in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles.
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance in cloud environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Nice to have GCP, Azure cloud exposure.
- MuleSoft CloudHub2.0, Salesforce, and other public clouds.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
